Experimental study on photocatalytic CO<sub>2</sub> reduction performance of ZnS/CdS-TiO<sub>2</sub> nanotube array thin films

Abstract The effect of CdS/ZnS composite-sensitized TiO 2 nanotube array (TNTA) on the photocatalytic reduction CO was studied. quantum dots sensitized TNTA by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) cycle method, CdS/ZnS-TNTA composite semiconductor materials were prepared. loading amount depends number SILAR cycles. effects times, volume flow, light intensity performance main product methanol; 2.73 times higher than that bare TNTA, optimal 10, absorption sideband red shifted to 524 nm, flow rate 20.5 mL/min. final yield as high 255.49 nmol/(cm -cat h). dot sensitization mainly broadened wavelength range catalyst’s response visible light, inhibited recombination electron–hole pairs a certain extent, greatly improved under light.
